Hello
I am intended to use vitamin A and iron related data during pregnancy in BDHS KR file. s457a indicates mother received vitamin A, can I use it in case of pregnancy? or are there any variable number from which I can obtain the vitamin A data during pregnancy?

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

To answer a questions such as this, you could go through the final report on the survey, including the questionnaire in the appendix, with a word search for "vitamin A". I have done that. It appears that the only question about vitamin A supplements for the mother was Q457A, about the first 2 month after delivery. There was no question about vitamin A supplements during pregnancy.
