Hi DHS Experts!

I have gone through reports of Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey 2006-07 (FR200). Table 4.3 presents the TMFR. This indicator is not computed for later versions of PDHS 2013 (FR290) & 2018 (FR354).

I need to calculate indicator of DSMFR and TMFR for FR290 and FR354 reports to see the trends and furthur analysis.

Kindly share the stata and spss codes for DSMFR and TMFR used to produce estimates from table 4.3 PDHS 2006-07 Report (page 44).

Kindly also share if there is already some package like tfr2 for TMFR fertility indicators.

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Marital fertility rates and duration-specific marital fertility rates have largely fallen out of use. DHS does not have a program to calculate them and I am not aware of any widely available program such as tfr2 for the calculation of these rates.

The problem was also discussed with Bruno. Bruno provided me with some commands with tfr2 that has resolved my issue.
