Hello Team,
I am writing to inquire about a potential gap in the data analysis I am conducting on hemoglobin levels using the 2015-2021 surveys. Specifically, I have noticed that the survey does not contain hemoglobin level data for children aged 10-14.

I would greatly appreciate your input on this matter. Is there a reason for this gap in the data, or could it possibly be an oversight on my part? Any advice or explanation you could provide would be most helpful.

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Users are asked to be specific about which surveys they are using. However, I can say that no DHS surveys have included hemoglobin measurements for children age 5-14. When hemoglobin is included, it's usually for children age 6-59 months and women age 15-49. Occasionally men are included, but not often.

DHS surveys contain information about child survival, schooling, household structure, and parental survival for children age 5-14, but not much else, and definitely no biomarkers.
