When asking about the native tongue/mother tongue of an individual in the NFHS-4 and 5 questionnaires, there are a total of 22 languages listed. One of them is the 'other' category. I was hoping to get more information on which languages might be a part of this 'other' category. The question listed in the questionnaire asks to specify the language in the 'other' category, but no such mention of it is made in the data.

In the women's dataset for NFHS-4 2015-16 survey (IAIR74FL) for example, this is the variable called "slangrm".

Is there any way I can identify the language spoken by the respondents in the 'other' category?

Unfortunately, we do not have the lists of "other" answers available.
