CDC (Global Tobacco Control Branch) has submitted the following proposals: 1) Recommendation to modify the existing tobacco use questions in the DHS Woman's and Man's Questionnaires to align with TQS questions, and 2) Inclusion of the full set of 22 TQS questions in the Man's Questionnaire.

If #2 is not feasible (i.e., adding 22 TQS questions to the Man's Questionnaire), we are hoping the existing DHS tobacco questions can be modified as proposed in #1 and an optional tobacco module be added to DHS to be included by countries when feasible.

Please see attached proposal for full details.
