I was wondering if it was known (or approximately) when the India DHS 2014-2015 will be made available to the public?

I had a quick additional question as well:

Could you let us know what is the current status of the 2014-15 DHS in India - i.e. is the data collection ongoing, x% complete, all complete and the project is in the data cleaning/entry stage?

Following is a response from the India NFHS-4 country manager, Blake Zachary:

Fieldwork is under way in India for Phase 1 of NFHS-4. We expect that state level factsheets with key indicators for Phase 1 states will be available by the fall of this year. By that time, Phase 2 should be in the field. The dataset will only be publicly available once the national report is released following the completion of fieldwork and lab testing for both Phases.

States included in NFHS-4 Phase 1 include: Andhra Pradesh , Bihar ,Goa, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh-East (West and Central/Bundelkhand will be included in Phase 2), Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Union Territories include: Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Puducherry.
