I am trying to find out the number of infant deaths each mother has experienced for Pakistan using 2012-13 dataset.
I want my data to be having only observations pertaining to 5yrs preceding the survey.
Clearly, my unit of analysis is women so I will be using IR file.
But the problem is the variables relating to birth history are separate for each child.
I do not know how to use a variable say B5 which age of the child at death in my analysis. Besides, I am also not sure how to generate my dependent variable with all the conditionalities mentioned above.

My basic problem is how to use all these variables on reproduction since every child has a separate variable..
Awaiting guidance.
P.s: I am a stata user
