I need data about births and associated variables by social class - Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other backward classes, etc. - but the classification variable is not available in the concerned recode files other than house and individual recode files. Can I get the data that I want.

All data files are available from your download account. If a variable you need is not in a specific data file, you will have to do some data merging. There are several posts on the forum with guidance on how to merge DHS datasets.
