Dear DHS Experts,

I would like to know what districts the sdist code in Pakistan DHS 2012-13 represents. The numbering is as follows:
There are 121 districts in this data ranging from the numbers:
101-227 (continuous)
301-325 (continuous)
402-430 (continuous)
501-507 (continuous)
and 601

I would like to know if there is a way to identify what districts these codes represent or what method this numbering is following, since I want to create some district specific variables in other datasets and combine it with this data.
So far I have identified that the first number in the sdist code (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) represents the province in which this district is but I cannot determine the rest.

Your help will be invaluable to me,

Thank you,
Nayab.

Dear DHS experts,

I am interested in the migration part of the Pakistan DHS survey. I found that the district codes used in the variables indicating the migrants' origin and destination are not fully covered by the codes you provided here. The district codes used in the migration part are above 601 which is the maximum code in the tables you provided. For example, sh23n is labeled "Place moved from to this village/city: Code ". And it can take values in 701-705, 707, 801, 802, 806, 807, 809. Can you provide the districts names for codes higher than 601?

Thanks a lot!

Hi ! Is there a way to identify the location of households at a more finer geographical level such as a tehsil or even better union council for 2012-13 round of DHS Pakistan? Unfortunately, the GPS co-ordinates were not distributed for that year.

Due to our confidentiality policy, there is not a way to access more file geographic data for this survey

Hi Clara,

Can we please get similar information about district codes for the 2017-18 DHS for Pakistan. That would be very helpful.
