Hello,

I received 1997 dataset for Bangladesh but I noticed that weight of children are not in correct format. The description said 1 decimal. I am not sure what that means.
For example a child is 63kg and 115cm and there are many more.

Can you please clarify?

Did they mean 6.3kg?

Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

To convert to kg, you need to divide the 63 by 10. The 115 cm is ok as it, or you can convert it to meters by dividing by 100. More information is in the Methodological Reports MR16 (https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/MR16/MR16.pdf) and MR6 (https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/MR6/MR6.pdf).
