C Reactive Protein Measures
https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=17763&th=8213#msg_17763
It states on the biomarker lists collected on the website that certain DHS surveys collect C-Reactive Protein (CRP). I have looked for surveys that state they collect 'other biomarkers' (e.g. Uganda 2016 and Malawi 2015-16.) However, I was unable to find information on exactly which biomarkers they collected and if they collected CRP.
Would you be able to direct me to where I could find information on which surveys collect CRP and which participants (e.g. mothers or children) they collect it in? Any help would be much appreciated.]]>Rose2019-05-23T09:38:15-00:00Re: C Reactive Protein Measures

I am working with an "other biomarker" dataset from Malawi and they do measure CRP as well]]>Blessings2019-05-28T08:53:48-00:00Re: C Reactive Protein Measures

Thanks for your helpful reply. Could you tell me who it is with? Is it women or children?

Women, pre-schoolers, school age children and men (so four different datasets)]]>Blessings2019-05-28T09:02:36-00:00Re: C Reactive Protein Measures

Do you have the code that links the biomakers data to the household level data? I do not undrstand the the procedure they put in the "Read me file" of the DHS data which comes with it. Share the code that merges the biomaker data tp the characteristics of the houshold

Apologies for the delayed response. I hope by now you have been able to figure this out. If not, I can try to explain. The code i use to link the data is for R so depending on which program you use it may not work.
The idea is to link the biomarker data-set with the household data-set using the three variables presented in the "read me" file. In any statistics program, you just need to figure out how to link two data-sets using multiple ID's. You will work with the variables MCLUSTER, MNUMBER and M01 (example for Malawi data), and you just need to match each participant using all three variables, because all the household data-sets will also have these variables. They indicate the cluster number, household cluster and member number.
I hope this helps, otherwise let me know and I can try to assist further.]]>Blessings2019-09-22T10:00:33-00:00Re: C Reactive Protein Measures

Many thanks, can you share the R-code for merging it. I will see how to work it out in Stata. I am familiar with R as well but much comfortable in Stata. or equally inbox gowokani@gmail.com
