HTN in Peru 2012 DHS
https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=16831&th=7863#msg_16831
-Eligibility criteria for survey participation (the report states that only women ages 15-49 were interviewed but the sample includes both women and men ages 40-96 years)
-Eligibility criteria for BP measurements (were BP measurements done on all people interviewed or only a subset?) If only a subset, how was this selected?
-Were households revisited if no one was there and/or not all eligible household members were present at the time
-How were BP measurements done? How many measurements and how many minutes in between each reading?
Thank you very much]]>jackieseiglie2019-03-07T15:36:18-00:00Re: HTN in Peru 2012 DHS

- only adults between the age of 40-96 years were eligible for blood pressure measurement
- This data was only collected in the Household
- Households for this survey were revisited up 4 times if no respondents at home
- From the questionnaire, it appears there were two readings for blood pressure recorded
- From looking at the frequencies, I looked at SH220 "Presión sistólica". The S in SH indicates it's a survey specific variable, the H in SH indicates a Household variable.
