Ghana-Verbal Autopsy Survey 2017
https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=16305&th=7555#msg_16305
I am using data from the 2017 Ghana Verbal Autopsy Survey (contains information for the last 5 years prior to the survey) and I cannot seem to find documents indicating what weighting scheme should be used when performing analysis. Where can I find such information (..the VA questionnaire is independent of the Household & Women DHS questionnaire so I'm not sure how to address the complex survey nature of the VA survey), are there any sample Stata codes for this?
Thank you!]]>lawrencebc2018-12-12T03:51:40-00:00Re: Ghana-Verbal Autopsy Survey 2017

Following is a response from our Senior Sampling Technician, Ruilin Ren:
It is true that in the appendix A of the final report, we did not provide descriptions on the VA weighting because the VA data is a separate data from the main data set. But a sampling weight was calculated for the VA data based on the same methodology. The variable name is QWEIGHT. All representative analysis should use the sampling weight. For the VA data, it is a single stage cluster design, the variable QVHCLUST identifies the cluster; all households in the cluster were included in the survey. Household is identified by the variable QVHNUMBER.
